In a joint humanitarian effort, EUCLID University, in collaboration with its consulting arm, the EUCLID International Consulting Group (EICG), has donated 30 bags of rice to vulnerable individuals and families living around Brusubi Turntable. The initiative was carried out in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan and as a response to the socio-economic challenges intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The beneficiaries of the donation included taxi drivers, night watchmen, widows, the sick, elderly persons, local Imams, and local support staff of EUCLID and EICG. The distribution was aimed at providing relief and reaffirming solidarity with those most affected during these difficult times.

EICG, headquartered in Brusubi, is a leading Gambian-based consultancy and a subsidiary of EUCLID. The group works closely with communities and institutions to support sustainable development and social inclusion, values strongly reflected in this outreach effort.

This act of compassion echoes EUCLID’s broader commitment to interfaith harmony and humanitarian engagement. Notably, in 2016, EUCLID University was awarded the first prize of US$25,000 during the United Nations Interfaith Harmony Week Celebrations. The award recognised its contributions to promoting religious tolerance and peace, especially significant given EUCLID’s operational base in The Gambia, a country celebrated for its strong record of interfaith coexistence.

EUCLID established its operational headquarters in The Gambia in 2013, complementing its historic base in Bangui, Central African Republic. The institution currently employs 9 full-time local staff and offers specialised academic programs in inter-religious diplomacy through its International Institute for Inter-Religious Diplomacy.

Together, EUCLID and EICG continue to champion both academic excellence and community empowerment, reaffirming their dedication to building bridges of understanding and support in The Gambia and beyond.
